What do you understand by experimental errors?
The actual difference between observed and
expected value of variable due to some external variation is known as
experimental errors. The external variation like treatment applied and their
interaction, lack of uniformity in the methodology, carelessness in the
experiment etc. The errors are caused mainly due to uncontrolled factors which
are random.
What do you mean by Blocks?
The whole experimental units can be divided into homogenous sub-groups or strata, such a strata which are uniform among themselves are known as blocks.
What do you mean by Experimental Units?
The smallest division of experimental
materials on which treatments are applied and observations are taken is known
as experimental units. E.g. batch of seed, plot of land etc.
What do you mean by treatment?
The various topics or subjects of comparison
in a comparative experiment are known as Treatments.
What do you mean by Experiment?
An experiment is a way or a tool of getting
solution to a problem that is under consideration. Each experiment can be classified
into two groups:-
1. Absolute Experiment: The experiment used to determine single and
finite value directly by various methods is known as absolute experiment.
2. Comparative experiment: The experiment that is designed to examine or
study the effects of two or more than two objects or situation according to the
characteristics under consideration is known as comparative experiment.
