What is memory space?

The address related to each of the memory word in the physical memory is called physical address and set of such address is called memory space. Memory space is related to the executing programs and data that are resided in the physical memory. The memory space of the system is very crucial as it determines how much program can get service by the CPU. Memory space is limited in the system. For a physical memory of 32KB the memory space is said to be total of 32KB. Usually, memory space is smaller than the address space so, in virtual memory system some part of the address space is used as a memory space to run programs larger than the total memory space.
